Naoussa Street Food Festival Wine Edition Made a Dynamic Comeback

A strong sense of optimism and extroversion filled Naoussa during the three-day Naoussa Street Food Festival 2024 Wine Edition from September 6-8, as crowds flocked to the event.

The Municipality of the Heroic City of Naoussa, in collaboration with the Soulfood Thessaloniki team, organized this gastronomic celebration, bringing together flavors and experiences. People of all ages from Naoussa, the capital of Xinomavro wine, and the surrounding regions packed the cobbled streets of the Municipal Park, immersing themselves in the street food culture. Each day, renowned chefs prepared and cooked exceptional dishes, creating cocktails inspired by the unique Xinomavro wine of Naoussa, with the support of local hospitality businesses. The festival also featured spectacular live concerts by Nikos Portokaloglou, Loopia Band, and Mimis Nikolopoulos Band, as well as exciting performances for street culture enthusiasts and beyond. On Friday, September 6, the Loopia Band took the audience on an acoustic musical journey, blending lounge, jazz, and soul influences with funk and pop song covers. On Saturday, September 7, chef Athanasios Kioses demonstrated the art of making the world-famous "Pizza Napoletana", while chef and President of the Imathia Hoteliers Association, Dimitris Mantsios, showcased the preparation of the "Sloppy Joe" burger. That evening, at the newly renovated Naoussa Summer Municipal Theater, legendary Greek musician Nikos Portokaloglou hosted an unforgettable party alongside Vicky Karatzoglou, Byron Tsourapis, and the "Eugeneis Alites" band. Finally, on Sunday, September 8, the festival reached its climax as the Mimis Nikolopoulos Band took the stage at the packed Municipal Park, offering a unique musical experience. Their performance combined original instrumental compositions with a diverse selection of songs from around the world. The Naoussa Street Food Festival Wine Edition 2024 left a lasting impression, celebrating food, music, and the vibrant spirit of the city.
