FOR THE WINE AND LOVE

Presentation at a mayor event of the musical performance "FOR THE WINE AND LOVE" by the composer and partner of Idifono, Sakis Papadimitriou, with the performer Vassilis Lekkas.

That took place   at the Castle of Rio on 8/21/24 as part of the OINOXENEIA event. That   musical work consists of   poems about Dionysus and Aphrodite, by Anacreon, Sappho, Alcaeus and other ancient Greek lyricists, who “gave birth” to the Theater and were heard in ancient Greek theaters as popular songs. As the original music is lost the composer Sakis Papadimitriou set back to music to these poems. The script of the performance were written by Maria Panagiotakopoulou, also partner of IDIFONO. Apart from a large audience, the performance was also attended by the president of the Cultural Route of the Council of Europe ITER VITIS, Mrs. Emanuela Panke, by Mrs. Marianthi Anastasiadou, Head of the Department of International Relations and the European Union of the Ministry of Culture and by Mrs. Anastasia Gadolou, General Director of the Archaeological Museum of Thessaloniki.
